Ever since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to be a teacher, but I discovered my passion for teaching Serbian to foreigners when I was a University student and I started teaching Serbian to Correan students who were on a student exchange in Serbia.
I discovered a whole new world, fell in love with it and I didn’t want to quit it ever since (18 years later)! I worked in one of the oldest centers for Serbian as a foreign language for almost 10 years where I taught Serbian to people of all ages (both adults and children) through English or Russian. I later became a Serbian language examiner and co-author of five textbooks. I have a lot of experience in B2B Serbian language courses, as I was teaching Serbian in international corporations.
Over the years of teaching Serbian full-time, I’ve tested different methods and developed my own and I became a teacher-trainer for fellow Serbian language teachers. To date, over 100 teachers have participated in my workshops and seminars, learning the method we use at Serbology. If I am not learning about new teaching methods, creating learning materials or organizing workshops for teachers, you’ll find me riding a bike, skiing or ice skating!

I was born in a bilingual (Serbian-Hungarian) family and that’s where my passion for languages and cultures started. The next logical step for me was to enroll in Serbian Language and Literature for Ethnic Minorities at the University of Novi Sad, where I later also finished my Masters.
My professional career started by teaching Serbian to Hungarian students and other national minorities, having been born and raised in Vojvodina, a region known for its cultural diversity. I worked as a teacher of Serbian as a second language in primary schools and high schools, helping students who were preparing to enter University in Serbian.
I worked in one of the oldest centers for Serbian as a foreign language for over 10 years (2013-2023) and that’s where I mastered my craft of teaching Serbian to foreigners, at all levels.
I also have extensive experience teaching Serbian to foreign diplomats and officials from three embassies.
Today, most of my Serbian classes are held in English, in which I have full professional proficiency. I also understand some Russian, which makes it easier to connect with Russian students. In my free time, you’ll find me traveling and exploring new cultures or snuggling my dog!

Team and work
Characteristics of our work
To ensure that our Serbian language courses are considered useful and that students enjoy learning, our team consists of experienced and enthusiastic teachers. Each teacher is a native speaker, born and raised in Serbia. Therefore, they not only bring authenticity to teaching Serbian, but also perfectly understand the many cultural nuances.
All our teachers have international certification and experience in teaching foreign languages. They not only studied at the Department of Slavic Philology, but also regularly attend seminars to stay up to date with modern trends and methods of teaching foreign languages.

Personalized approach to learning
We’re open to your suggestions and topics you’re interested in.
The spectrum ranges from everyday Serbian life and Balkan mentality to cuisine (such as ćevapčići, burek and rakija), all the way to flirting in Serbian.

Conversation
Our Serbian classes focus on conversation and helping you prepare for real-life interactions with Serbs.
In a friendly atmosphere, we will show you that you can hold a conversation with locals even as a beginner.

Questions and interaction
Pre-recorded courses leave you with many doubts and you spend hours googling and often ending up without a proper answer.
That’s why we insist on face-to-face interaction where you can ask all the questions in real-time. Our policy is: no question is a dumb question!

Correcting mistakes and pronunciation in real time
Learn correctly the first time, so you don’t have to put twice as much effort into correcting your pronunciation!
Our teachers will show you how to pronounce Č, Ć and other strange-sounding Serbian letters like a native!

Accountability
How many times have you started learning Serbian on your own, just to give up after a few weeks?
Many studies show that 8 out of 10 people never finish self-paced online courses. That’s why we are here as your accountability buddies to motivate you and keep you going.
